Microtale Microtale is an independent, south German game developer run by Peer Draeger and Matthias Schindler. Microtale was started in November 2015, shortly after the termination of the flaregames development studio in Karlsruhe. Matthias was head and technical director of the 40-person studio, Peer was art director and creative advisor. They have been busy finishing NeoWars, which will be the first release of Microtale. Microtale's sole focus is to create unique game experiences. As an indie studio, Microtale has the freedom to stray from the beaten path of f2p gameplay and monetisation models.
Peer has been working in the games industry since 2005. His passion is not only to create visuals, but to be knee deep in all aspects of game creation.
Matthias released his first game in 1994 (Arya Vaiv) and has founded several game studios since 1996. He has worked on over 60 games and a variety of platforms ranging from GBC to PC and mobile phones. He is game developer and coder by heart, believes that the standard F2P model is flawed and that creating indie games is the holy grail of games development.
